Hi, I’m Joaquin Phoenix and I have left Planet Earth. This was the absurd, quasi interview that took place on Letterman February 11th, 2009. To be honest, I really starting feeling bad for him, Dave was a little harsh in my opinion. The guy clearly has something going on with him and is unstable.
What do you think about Joaquin Phoenix’s visit to Earth (last joke I promise). Do you think that this is just a phase or that he needs some help? Do you think he has a drug problem or serious stress or something? Is he collapsing under the weight of his own fame like Owen Wilson almost did? Honestly, I don’t think I would believe that he isn’t after seeing that video and I personally love him as an actor. Is he rapping now or is that just a rumor?

poor Joaquin Phoenix, he seemed to trying really hard to re-invent his image and was coming across as just awkward
