Phish, Springsteen to headline Bonnaroo 2009
My first instinct is to love this line-up. I’ve seen most of the artists before, but it’s bands and performers I can’t wait to see again: Phish is here to reclaim the Jam band kingdom, Bruce is trying to capture a new generation.David Byrne is a real treat and a bit of a surprise. I didn’t think I’d ever get to see The Beastie Boys again. That’s a WIN. I feel like I have some unfinished business with Snoop after he played barely any new stuff at Rothbury. I’m thrilled I’ll get to see Animal Collective on this tour.
Al Green is going to single-handedly make some people think about coming to this festival. I need to give NIN a real listen this time. Girl Talk- bring it on you prince of festivals, you. Grace Potter- meet ya at my tent, xoxox. Neko Case- you can come too. Of Montreal and TV on the Radio will be playing two of my top 5 albums of 08 live. And those two always bring it live. Add in Elvis Costello, Warren Haynes and The Boss?
